  1. I would bribe him with the most sought after food i.e. cooked chicken , liver etc. I am on my 3rd husky pup and all I had to do was put the treat in my lead hand, dangle it in front of their noses and walk/run. Worked every time.

  2. No they usually don't, they plant their feet and won't move, what you have to do is let him wear his leash in the house and drag it around with him so he gets used to it, then when you pick it up call him to you and try running a little for him to chase you.  If you pull he'll resist so call him and encourage him to move towards you while holding the leash so he moves on his own without you pulling, in time he'll get it and it won't be so much of an issue.

    Good luck

  3. Most puppies don't like the leash at first it takes time.  Set up a routine.  Put your puppy in sit (a good command for you puppy to start learning) - treat.  Clip the leash on - treat and while you're in the house doing run of the mill things.. leave the leash on.

Let your puppy do its normal play and exploration around the house and yard w/ the leash on, just dragging it around.  He/She will get used to having it on.  Make sure to give a lot of praise and do not allow him/her to chew.  That's a hard habit to break.

    Good Luck

  4. My dog hated a collar when he was a pup - he would go crazy!  Put a collar and a lead on your pup for just afew minutes and then take it off.   Leave it a while and try again - let him run around the house with the collar and lead on just dragging behind him so he gets used to the feel of it and realises there is no danger to him.  Praise him for being a good boy/girl.  He will get used to it.
