  1. most likely not, it is not genetic(that I know of)

  2. probably not. But it's not impossible.

Some causes of amblyopia run in families, however, most children with amblyopia come from families where no one else is affected. Children that have a family history of amblyopia should be checked by an ophthalmologist earlier and more frequently than other children. See “When and how often should a child be screened for amblyopia?” for normal guidelines and check with your doctor for guidance.

  3. Yes, the lazy eye (amblypia) is dominate when reproducing.

  4. Eye turns can run in families, but I don't believe there is a way to know if your child would have one or not.  Best thing to do would just to have the regular eye check ups while he/she is young.  Amblyopia can usually be prevented if its cause is found by the age of 6, and the sooner the better.  No need to worry now, though.  :)

  5. well one of my parents had it and all 3 of us kids have it. but i dont know. it can be fixed with surgery i had it

  6. I think there is a tendency for it to be hereditary, just like with other eye problems. For example, my sister has ambyopia and her husband is nearsighted. They have three sons. The youngest is nearsighted but the middle one has amblyopia, which was successfully treated. The oldest has no vision problems at all.

  7. WOOOOOOO lazy eyes are awesome you should want your child to have them. They could see if other kids are making faces at them when they go to school
