My wife has got ECR stamp and Iam too much confused?

Someone just confirm me if she can travel along with me to UK. Iam too much confused with ECR and ECNR.

  1. ecr and ecnr are no longer required now. ECNR stamping has been done away with effective oct 01, 2007. in short, ecr/ecnr stamp is not required any longer. she can definitely travel to uk with u even without encr stamp


  2. ECR/ECNR.. do not make much of a difference these days.

    Everybody has to go through the immigration check.

    I am currently in UK and had the same issue as yours.

    Relax, have all the necessary visa and supporting documents and you should be good.
