the stereo doesn't work and she doesn't have the security code. It's a Rover 220 and as Rovers aren't being produced any more we can't go to a dealership. Where/how can we find out the security code for the stereo?

  1. take the radio out an look on it as most peole write it on there dumb i knw or u could check the cars handbooks as it should b in there

  2. Cheapest and quickest is to Google for the Rover Owners Club and ask on their forum

  3. There's usually a local guy who knows how to get them working, ask at your local car parts shop or car maintenance garage.

  4. try the internet @ ask.com or dogpile.com found many answers

  5. That happened me and the garage sorted it out.

  6. you will need to take the radio out which needs a special 2 pronged tool , you can get them from halfords its easy to do , then take it to a car audio shop he will conect it up to a computer and reprogram it with another code , cost about 10 pounds

  7. Try using the defualt code first...1234 0000 9999--if this wont work, then go to ask.com to find the anwer for this.

  8. Go back to the garage and they will know how to get the code back.

  9. you can buy the codes of ebay from as little as £1.50

but you will need to take the radio out so you get the serial number

also the code might have been written on the stereo

also try asking the Q again with the serial number and radio make, someone might give it to you for free !!!!!!

    good look
