  1. of course not!  are you trying to be funny or is it a real honest question?

  2. This is a somewhat tricky question.  The credit card company will probably try to collect from you whether yor not you are legally responsible.  You may want to speak to an attorney to determine for certain whether or not you are liable for this debt.

After your wife dies, her estate would be liable for the debt but you are probably not responsible for your wife's debt if she were to pass away, provided that it is not a joint account.

  3. No, you are not liable.  Her estate would be liable.  Any assets would go to paying debts before being dispersed to heirs.

If you jointly own a house, you would have to pay off he credit card before her half of the house could be transferred to you.
