  1. I agree with the person above me, you are very ignorant to get on here and accuse people of not knowing anything when YOU are the one who does not know what the h**l you are talking about! Yes thrush is in the mouth but also can be in the v****a and other places of the body!! Honestly it could be genital warts, sometimes you can get them and not know for many many years.... Unless she has specifically been tested for it then she does not know if she has it or not, and usually you have to ask to be tested for that! Just figure out what is wrong with her at the doctors none of us can know for sure, we can can only go off what you tell us!

  2. Maybe a yeast infection due to a change in PH.  Have her go to the Dr. and don't worry.  You can get a pimple everywhere else, why not down there?

  3. yeast infection :] go to a Dr.

  4. sounds like thrush. She can use canestan cream on the outside just not use the applicator to squirt it inside. If this doesn't help should see ya doc.

  5. it sounds like a yeast infection to me have her go to the doctor to get it checked out or it vary well could be because of the soap she was using

  6. the safest thing to do is to go to a doctor!! Itchiness is definenty associated with a yeast infecton but hey shes pregnant and if shes 30 weeks she should be seeing her doctor every 2 weeks by now anyways so just have her talk to her doc about it and they can prescribe something to take away her itch and you will both be happy!!

  7. Wow you are very rude

    1. Thrush (also known as a yeast infection) can be vaginal or oral. It can also appear on the nipples if the woman is breast feeding. Baby's nappy rash is also a form of thrush. Thrush is VERY common in pregnant ladies. Also, men can get a form of thrush on their p***s called balanitis

Candidia (the organism which causes thrush) is a type of yeast - this is why people are referring to it as a yeast infection.

The itchiness could be due to thrush. However the lump probably excludes that. She might have an ingrown hair which might be causing the lump down there. She might have a pimple. She might also have genital herpes which lies dormant for many many years. People can get infected as a teenager through oral and vaginal s*x, and not have their first outbreak until they are 40.

So before you start talking about how WE have no clue what we are talking about, you should actually find out how much YOU actually know yourself. You are very uneducated if you think thrush only occurs in the mouth. You sound like you copied and pasted your information off the internet.

May I also remind you that you are in the pregnancy forum which is made of mostly women...and 90% women get vaginal thrush. You honestly look like a bit of an idiot coming on here and telling us women that our vaginal thrush doesnt actually exist! That is just like me going into the mens section and posting that being kicked in the testicles doesnt hurt at all. You are posting about something you know nothing about, which is fine (we all have got to learn somewhere)...just don't put people down because you think you know more than them. I can guarantee you that the majority of women reading your question right now are laughing at you, and not with you

    2. You ask us not to respond if we don't really know. Seriously, we are probably on the other side of the world and cannot look up her v****a with a speculum like the doctor can and take swabs. Thus everyone is going to state their own opinions on it, but no one will really know. Until you wrote she had already seen a doctor and ruled out a yeast infection, how are people supossed to know this already before they posted?

If the doctor has already seen her, then why didnt he give her an answer? And if he couldnt give her an answer, why are you blasting us for giving you the "wrong" ones?

Please. Grow up. And educate yourself before making a fool out of yourself.

Actually, here you are I just found the site where you got your "information" off. Copied word for word. Look at the "symptoms" section

    http://www.righthealth.com/Health/thrush...

There you are. That website talks about oral thrush. Type in vaginal thrush into google and see what comes up.

  8. This sounds like what I battle with.  I'm 38 weeks pregnant, and since around 35 weeks, I've had the itchiest v****a known to womankind (sorry if this is TMI!).  The itch tends to come and go.  It is like my natural discharge makes my skin itch.  It's a very strange thing.

I tried switching to not using soap in that area when I showered, but that didn't really do much.  My fiance (who has two kids from his previous marriage) told me that it is a normal part of being pregnant (apparently it's the hormones doing their work and the change in PH from being pregnant) and that it will pass after the baby is born and my hormones go back to their normal levels.  I am really starting to believe him!.

I've also found that my sensitivity to antibiotics has increased.  Your wife may have the same issue.

My OB didn't seem overly concerned, so it must be a normal process and part of pregnancy, like my fiance said.

I tend to treat the itchiness with cold cloths and the like (I find that warm beds and things of that nature tend to aggravate it).

    I hope this helps!

  9. a yeas infection omits an odor..i'm leaning toward the soap! a woman should not use regular soap for her v****a! only use eve or masengill soap for intimate parts. regular soaps disrupt the ph level in the v****a!!!
