My wife is an elementary school teacher. Where should she go to get good looking shoes that are comfortable?

It depends on her school's dress code. She could go to Naturalizer. On casual fridays she can wear skechers, they're just super comfortable.

I wear Clarks and Keens. They are reasonably priced and stylish. Very very comfortable.

CLARK shoes,made in England are really comfortable.

You'll have to see what stores in your area carry them..sometimes Sears does,a few.Some of the mall stores..They are expensive,,,but your feet are worth it.And they last along time...

I have bad knees and bad ankles.  I too, am an elementary teacher which for me means I might be lucky enough to sit for maybe 45 minutes throughout the day.

The BEST shoes I have found are a nursing secret - Dansko - they have clogs and fully closed shoes, as well as a variety of fashionable styles.  I purchased a pair of brown Dansko's and a pair of black ones and I wear them comfortably all year long.  They are great with long pants, skirts/dresses and tights, suits, etc.  They are not so great with shorts/capris.  I'm still working out the appropriate shoes for that attire!

I highly recommend the Dansko's, and there's a great site to order from - zappos.com - great shoes at great discounts.  My suggestion is to go to a store that carries them (Nordstroms, Macy's, etc) and try on a pair of Dansko's for size.  Then order them online for a decent discount!

I swear by my Clarks and my Sketchers.

They are available just about anywhere.

I own three pairs of clogs, two pairs of Clarks, and three pairs of Sketchers (They don't just make sneakers.) .  They are comfortable and work well with pants and skirts.  I buy shoes whenever I come across outlet malls on the East or West Coast.

She could try DSW shoe warehouse or birkenstock. They have other shoes than just the standard sandals.  And DSW has all of the shoes that Nine West and all of the main stream mall shoe stores sell. Sketchers are comfy as well.
