My wife is first time driver and she is planning to buy a car. we are looking to buy anything under 1.4 L.?

due to insurance purposes. if we buy a group 2 to 4 insurance car and she could be the legal owner of the car..can i get car insured under my name and if so, can i put her name as a secondary driver. any suggestions please.

How about a saxo 1.1

They are great little cars.

The insurance is not bad on them.

It is better in the long run for her to insure the car in ther own name.

Most USA states allow anyone to insure any car they want to insure.  There is no requirement that they must own the car to insure it.  You insure Cars  not drivers.  So yes, if you are in the USA, you may insure a car that is titled in your wifes name
