  1. Congratulations man, with some careful planning it is sure that you can come to US, and the most important thing is money. If she is earning some $2500 a month, then a family of two (including you) will NOT be considered below the poverty line. Such earning is easily verified by her 2007 tax documents, and if the emplyer is reputed, it's letter will be great. Just use some of her friends to manage up to 10,000 in her bank (not a must, but better to be safe), and you are all set to come to the US. Where in US is your wife? She can talk to other Nepali DV people here to get the best idea. But decide prudently before you choose immigration helpers and pay anything for this. Generally, you don't need even an immigration-professional's help, but do learn from experienced people.

In addition to your good academic standing in management, if you a relevant experience of some 3 years, you can get admission in MBA here. ***But, better try the earlier option. ***To come here as a student, funding will be another problem.

Just curious, there seems some complication that you did not mention, why didn't you come here together? Anyways, all the best.

  2. well basiclly a permenent resident can bring his spouse and unmarried under 21 year old children but i think he needs to be able to sponsor them 125% above the poverty line.

and she needs to provide proof of the marrige.

but beware becuse that she is not a citizen there is a waiting perioed of about 5-6 years!

    good luck!
