  1. Boy that WD-40 really works doesn't it? Just put something

against the door for awhile and eventually it will wear off a bit.

One time I put WD-40 on a sliding door at work and someone else came along and opened the door and slammed it real hard as we previously had to do and it nearly flew off the track. lol

  2. The door should be properly plumbed (leveled) to stay open.

I've heard of this, although I haven't had to try it.

Remove one of the hinge pins, and put a very slight bend in it (I guess with a hammer), and it will hold the door in place.

But I bet over time it will squeak.

  3. The door is not set level causing it to close. Before the wd40 was sprayed there was a little friction to keep it in place. If you put a little twist in one of the hinges loosing the screws it should stay open

  4. Get a door stop. They only cost a dollar or two.

  5. If you put a small shim behind the top hinge it might help.  If that doesn't do it, put it behind the bottom hinge instead. The shim goes either between the hinge and the door or the hinge and the wall.
