  1. she has to pay the council tax, but im sure you will try and find a way to beat the system!

Oh and by the way, she will have to pay the backdated 5 months that she has already lived there!! just a word of advice

  2. Your wife is responsible if she is still living there to pay council tax.

  3. Council tax is reliant on the people living in the property, not the owner of the property, so it's your wife's responsibility.

If the occupants are students, for example, they pay a reduced rate, as would the owner if the property was empty.

  4. Your wife is responsible for paying the council tax.

  5. She is responsible usually for her own council tax unless landlord said otherwise.

  6. That would depend what agreements there were in her tenancy agreement.  It should tell you there

    Hope this helps

  7. She has to pay for it,unless the landlord offers to pay it (which doesn´t happen very often).Sorry!

  8. Probably people like me, the great british tax payers!

  9. Your wife should be paying the council tax unless he rtenancy agreement said it was in cluded in the price of the rent

  10. you have to pay your own council tax, but as she has newly arrived as you have put it then probably us tax payers.

  11. You do.

  12. Your wife is responsible for the council tax

  13. The tenant is resposible for paying council tax, which is calculated depending on how much the property is worth.
