  1. I'd start with Tomatoes, Potatoes, Onions etc, I'm sure that is what your wife has in mind. There is never anything quite like growing your own veg, the taste is far better than the shops!

But I'd ask her what she would like you to grow, and take it from there. Good luck!

  2. we have peas, strawberries, lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes and they are all really easy to grow, they just need water, the odd feed and a bit of tying onto the wooden canes when they grow, hope that helps.

  3. potatoes, peas, carrots, lettuce, onions. did you see river cottage spring (think that is what is was called) last week, the whole episode was about getting people to start growing veg. jamie oliver had a good programme too about growing fruit and veg in his garden. Your wife can help you too since it was her suggestion . . .

  4. First, ask your wife!  Tomatos, peppers and herbs are all easy to grow.

  5. we have all types of things in ours

we have cherries, peaches, peppers, tomatoes, grapes, apples, guavas, sugar canes, almonds, herbs, etc... I guess the best thing is to ask ur wife what she wants in the garden... it's also good to plant things that u can eat... because they always give back and u save money from buying them at the store with all the high prices like the cherries we have save us the money in buying cherries they don't taste exactly the same but they are still good. I really like the fact that the things in our backyard save us money and time  because we just have to run to the backyard to get it rather than going to the store
