My wife wants to try a flooring product called Swift Lock Glueless Laminate Flooring.?

I wanted to put down new carpeting, and we can't afford real hard wood floors, this product is supposed to "look like hard wood flooring. She always tells me "you'll like it" does anyone have positive or negative feedback about this product, its application, and the final results.

If your wife is interested in wooden flooring, you can go for it. It has a life of not less than 10 yeatrs of A4 quality. The wastage is not more. The cost is about Rs. 80 to Rs. 90 per square foot inclussive of every thing. It comes in approx. 4ft length x 8 inches width. These are interlocked. It can be fitted in ONE day in a  room of about 200 squre foot. These are water proof, stain proof and very hard. It comes in various designs and sure you can select one of your choice. It can be reused - and shifted to another room if you are fed up of seeing in one particular room used without much of wastage.

It realy looks very nice and gives rich look.

If you have dogs that run around, laminate is not a good choice. It looks good and many will wear well, but they cannot be refinished if they are damaged like real wood can.

I have it in my house and installed it myself, with no problems at all... Easy to clean and pretty durable too...

If you install swift lock glueless floor, remove both quarter round molding, and baseboard molding.  You will get a more professional looking job.  It is easy to install. Getting the end pieces to lock together can be little more difficult.  I used oak block and hammer.  Take your time around all doors and cut door jams off at bottom so laminate will slide under.  We use Bruce laminate floor cleaner to keep them looking good.  I don't know how mine has held up so good with 5 year old yellow Lab running on them.
