My wifes birthday (women only)?

Question

Ok...my wifes 53 birthday is coming up, I want to make it special.

We have been married for 30 years, have 3 kids (all grown) and one grandbaby. I took her to NYC for her 51st birthday and that was really special. I'm not looking to do anything quite that elaborate this year.

Any suggestions?

Make a love mix cd.. Songs just for her saying how much you love her.

A nice romantic picnic..

Or rent a hotel.. With rose peddles every where. & candles..

Or just look into her eyes.. & tell her how much you love. Her.

What about something closer?  I don't know where you live so it's hard to say.  We just got back from Hawaii & it was awesome.  There must be a place you could drive to.  Just do a Bed & Breakfast type thing & shopping.

Spend a couple hundred bucks on a nice hotel... decorate it with rose petals and candles everywhere... have the tub ready... Nothing can beat that... Good Luck... (Oh, and a nice piece of jewlery on the bed)

How about having dinner at the Reunion Tower and booking a hotel there at the Hyatt?

You could both spend the day at a spa, they are incredibly relaxing and a wonderful gift for your wife.

Take her out to dinner.  With or without the whole family.

What about a nice dinner? Maybe cooking something yourself or hiring a personal chef for the evening to make a fabulous dinner. That way you're still at home. Clean the house up beforehand and light a ton of candles around the room. It's the sweetness of the gesture that will really get her.

Day at the Spa, hot air balloon ride, dancing.  Depends on what she's into - dinner, massage, bubble bath, movie.  Art - is there a museum near you?

rent a hotel room somewhere around dallas...one of the hotels with the jacuzzi in the room.  then when you go to pay for the room put some bubble bath and flowers champagne, stuff like that in the room.  then on the night of her birthday take her out to a nice restaurant to eat.  after you get to the car blindfold her (if she will let you) and give her the key card and tell her that you are taking her somewhere and this is a hint.  she can feel the key card and will probably think it is a credit card or a gift card from someplace.  when you drive up to the hotel take the blindfold off and see her reaction.  then see the reaction when you get in the room and its a jacuzzi suite.

It sounds like you guys have had experience in enjoying the world. That is great and a lot of fun but maybe for something different you could stay in and do something very simple and intimate. Create a love nest in your home. Make up some fun little games that are tied to your specific memories together. Of course have the nice dinner with candles and flowers.
