  1. test your theory first - disable mcafee and see if you connect ok.  if you do, you will have to change your mcafee settings to put this network in the 'trusted' zone.

if you can't figure how to do it, uninstalling mcafee, then connecting to the wireless, and reinstalling while connected usually forces it to 'trust' the existing connection.

  2. I would suggest that you check to be sure your wireless card is enabled.

If it is and you still can't access your network, I would suggest that you try repairing your connection by going to the Control Panel and then to Network and Internet Connections.

From there, I would suggest that you right click on your connection and choose Repair.

If that doesn't work, perhaps you should try resetting your router by unplugging it for about fifteen seconds or so.

Good luck and I hope I helped you!

  3. Access your router on you main computer and allow your laptop's IP adress.

To find your IP address on any computer, go to start>all programs>accessories> Command prompt.

type in "ipconfig /all" (w/o quotes)

and find your IP adress which should be in ###.###.##.## format, and your MAC adress which should be in alpha numerics and it should look like ??:??:??:??:??

Access your router and (its different for all routers) and allow those. You should be able to use mcafee to access it.

    I---

If those don't work, i advise you to please use better detail and grammar so people can understand you better.
