Question:

My wii can't connect to my router. Help please?

For the past 2 weeks my wii has been malfunctioning lately when I try to connect my router to the wii.

2 weeks ago - it all of a sudden lost it's connection with my router.

Whenever I try to get my connection back - it doesn't work.

I tried changing channels to 1, 6, and 11 but that doesn't work either.

I keep getting the same error code.

Can someone help me with this problem please?

  1. I had a lot of trouble with my wireless router as well & I just ended up buying a Nintendo Wifi USB Connector for $20 at best buy and it worked great AFTER I turned off my firewall when I used the interent. For some reason, the firewall blocked the wii for accessing the interent even though it was on the "allow" list so maybe if you just turn it off (if you even have it) for the time you are using the internet, it will work

Hope I helped & Good Luck

  2. There can be a number of causes,

Have you changed your key if so, make sure the wii has the same exact key as the router.

Wii uses wireless B or G, so try to make your wii either one of them or set the router in MIXED mode.

if this doesnt help, give me more info  so i could figure out the cause. BTW does the wii detect your connection?
