  1. i had the same thing. you  either have to get a new charger battery or there is this red button inside of it and you have to press the one inside of the wii at the same time.

  2. You need to synch the remote.

-Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote you are trying to synch. Press and release the red SYNC button inside the cover. The lights on the front will blink.

-Open the SD card slot cover on the front of the Wii console and press and release the red SYNC button.

-When the lights on the front of the remote stop blinking, the connection is complete. Your remote is now synched. The light that is illuminated indicates the player number.

  3. You have to sync the Wii remote to the Wii before you can use it.  To do this, open the front flap of the Wii and you will see a red button.  Open the back of the Wii remote and you will see another red button.  Press the red button on the Wii, then press the red button on the Wii remote.  Close the flap on the Wii remote and console.  Then you should be able to use it.

You can also look in the Wii Operations Manual that came with your Wii to reference this too.

  4. like everybody else said, you need to sync your wii remote by pressing the red buttons next to the batteries on the remote, and next to the SD slot.

One extra thing I wanted to add is if you press the 1 and 2 buttons on your wii remote, it seems to mess it up. So try not to do that, because then that might also affect the syncronizing of the remote

  5. The remote is not synced to the wii.

There are two ways you can sync the remote: temporary or permanent.

Permanent is what you want to do but for future reference I will explain both.

Temporary- Go the the wii menu with your working remote    and click "Remote Options" then click the 1 and 2 buttons on the non-synced remote. The lights will begin flashing and soon it will be temporarily synced.

Permanent- Go to the wii menu and then physically go to your wii, and open up the little hatch underneath the power and reset buttons. (this is where you put SD cards)

You should see a red button.

Now open up the battery cover of the non synced remote. You will see another red button.

Now push the one on the wii first and then the one on the remote. If this doesn't work, push the one on the remote first and then the one on the wii.

The remote's lights will begin flashing and soon your remote will be synced!
