  1. It might be a spotted turtle. Or not. Can you post a picture? If not, get your hands on a copy of a field guide to reptiles and figure it out.

  2. wild caught turtles do not do well in captivity.  If you release it in the same area that you found it, all of your problems will be solved and the turtle can live the life it was meant to live.

  3. Help.....with what?

Is there a question, or simply a general feeling of panic?

  4. "Wild" is the buzzword here. Wild animals are not intended to be kept as pets; it is cruel, and they normally do not survive. Please give your turtle a chance to live---let it go. There's no way you can give it what it needs in terms of environment and nutrition.

  5. Depends, where do you live (state)? How long have you had it? Normally, wild turtles do not do well incaptivity, but there are exceptions. My son caught one 14 years ago and up until last week when my boyfriend left him in the yard and he escaped, he was still doing great.

  6. Wild, huh? Put him back. It doesn't do it any good for you to keep it. If it was wild it will always be wild. If you keep it it will probably die from one of many problems. Unfortunately for you most people are going to tell you the same thing. I, on the other hand, will advice that you let it go and then go to a petstore and save one of those. They need saving!
