My windows media player has removed all my songs from itself,how do i put them back on there?

i went to windows media player and i use to have alot of albums and playlists on there, and nothing is on there now.i have already tried system restore, and they aren't in the recycle bin.i still have them in my music files, and i can play them on wmp, but i can't access them from wmp.

drag and drop? or play all the songs at once, and then right click them when they are highlighted and click add to library
