my windows media player i believe is version 10 and when i try to run it it says an internal application error has occurred so i tried to uninstall and reinstall it. but when i went to control panel and search for windows media player in add and remove programs i cannot find it ( all i can find are the security updates for it) so I just went ahead and downloaded another copy of the software from windows website but when i try to install it it says the software did not pass the windows logo test i was like hello? i got it from your website for XP and it cannot be used on XP and on the warning message there is no continue anyways it just simply says the software will not be installed.

please help me i am so frustrated now...

  1. Software does weird things sometime. All of the updates that your system gets may have made version 10 incompatible. Download version 11 and install it. I've had it for several months and it works great.

  2. Hello

Why do not you try WMM?

  3. I'm having the exact same problem right now!  So I tried installing Microsoft Silverlight (I don't know what that is, but msn has been telling me to do so for like a month because of the Olympics) and it kind of started working, but then it'll freeze and not show anything.  So I upgraded to Windows Media Player 11 and its still having the same problem.  I think there's a problem with the whole thing right now.
