My windows xp pc doesnt recognize my iphone?

Question

everytime i plug in my iphone, ill pull up itunes manually, and then the camera wizard thing pops up. but the itunes doesnt recognize my iphone. ive restored my iphone by putting it in recovery mode, and it still doesnt work, and now it says it has to be activated, so the only thing i can do is make an emergency call [[911]] and i need it fixed! does anyone know?!?!

Apples support might help or you should return it back and get a new one under you warranty
