I have a 92 nissan maxima and i had bought a new cd player to replace the stock one. A friend said he could do it, but he cut the main wire harness and hooked up everything wrong. Fuses started shorting out then my battery died. I dont want to jump it because the wires arent right and i dont want to do more damage. I need someone to fix it, but im not sure what i can and cant do.

what if i unwired it all?

and how much do you think itll cost for me to have someone fix all that?

  1. really simple. cost you about $20, go to any major retail mobile audio outlet (best buy, etc) and purchase an aftermarket wiring harness for your car. saves you time of cutting and is a very simple solution. you can even check it out yourself at www.bestkits.com. best buy carries all these harness, and will even install it for you for cheap.

  2. Try again with a tester (voltmeter or test light) On the older Japanese cars turn the parking lights on when testing.  They do some weird oddball thing when the lights are on.  I've been where your at many years ago..

  3. if he cut off the harness here are the colors so that it can be "hard wired" correctly
