My wire in my braces ripped of the brace,?

and my orthodontist is CLOSED, well on vacation. And I reallly need it fixed, can i just go to a different orthodontist TODAY?

PLEASE ANSWER QUICK .

  1. Ok well mine did that b4.  It depends on how long youve had your braces.  I was almost done with mine so the orthodontist just clipped the wire instead of putting in a new one.  It isn't that big of a deal though.  Your teeth probably won't move.Just wait until he comes back. Put wax on it if it hurts.

  2. Most orthos and dentist have a back up doc for just such purpose. Call the office, listen to the machine and call the back up.

  3. You could call a different orthodontist...explain the situation and they may let you come in to have it fixed. The only thing is you might have to pay where as your regular one might do it for free...but it might just depend on how bad the damage is.

  4. i dont know if you mean the entire wire came off the brackets. that happened to me once. I pushed it back in place, waited until after the holiday and had the assitant re-adjust it. just wait to see your ortho. i wouldnt let another one interfer with treatment.
