My wireless internet won't connect to my network. It will connect to my friends internet and ethernet works

i have experienced the same thing (do you happen to have a dell) and upgrading the firmware to your router, or getting a newer router may solve your problem. If you have verizon DSL, their routers are notorious for having issues with certain wireless cards. Either get a new wireless card, or buy a new router and set it up so it is wired into an ethernet port of your existing router, and connect to that one.
