My wireless router is not working?

Question

I tried to put a lock (password) on my wireless router..and when I try to access, it says that it doesn't recognize my password or key access...i can't get online and I tried attaching the modem straight to the computer and it's not getting internet access...what can I do? it was a net gear rangemax wpn824..my computer runs windows xp (yea yea i know should off had a mac)...and my provider is comcast

Is there any reset pins on the router (tiny hole), sometimes allows you to reset to factory defaults. Or check the manual to reset it, there may be a specific sequence of actions you need to take.
