It is wireless internet with a netgear router. I have tried checking all the plugs and reseting the router. Other computers in my home still connect to the internet but for some reason my main one won't anymore.

  1. Try going to "Run", type "cmd" (without the quotes), type "ipconfig". This should prompt your IP address, something like 123.456.789.042. Now type "ping -t IP", replacing IP with the number you just found (with the dots). This should fix your problem, I don't know why, but I've seen it work a number of times.

  2. Do you have Zone Alarm? MS put out some updates this week, and one them broke Zone Alarm

Turn ZA off and go to Zone Labs.com and download the updated program with the fix

  3. wireless card might have gone

  4. You should call your service provider and have them tell you what to do to fix it, or have them fix it themselves.

  5. Whenever this happens to me, the first thing I do is to unplug the power to everything and start over.  Do this first before you get involved with settings, etc.

  6. on your computer go to

    start

    connect to

click on the wireless internet you are using
