  1. There are some dentists that allow a payment plan you just have to do a credit check basically. If the dentist offices allows that then they're worth having their hands in your mouth. Having no insurance is crazy! I just picked up dental insurance and it's only $32/month. Check around to see if you have any private owners that work w/ insurance companies.

  2. buy some oragel and hope that they dont get impacted.  if there is a local NIH chapter, you can see if they are still doing that study on wisdom teeth.  if they are, they will pay you $50 to remove them.  get some oragel in the mean time though.  if that doesnt work, my mother gave me tequila and rubbed it on my gums. it works.

  3. I am so sorry, this really sucks, I have been there.  When this happened to me I saved up a little at a time and had each tooth pulled as soon as I had the money.  I stayed awake and just got the local anesthetic, which was fine, I think I got the gas too--but that was like 30-40 dollars more.  I had to pay right then and there (most oral surgeons/dentists won't take payment plans, which sucks for people that are uninsured!)  The cost (in the US) at the time was about $250 per tooth.  So each time I managed to save up $250, I had a tooth pulled.  I also had my regular doctor give me a prescription for an antibiotic for some infection that had formed in the area of the wisdom teeth so I could get the pain under control.

Good luck, I hope you can find the help that you need!

  4. take a 250ml cup add a level teaspoon full of salt, add warm water, more on the hot side. use it to gaggle till you use up the water. this will relieve you for now. ultimately you need to see the dentist

  5. If you wait, those suckers just get worse and worse, deeper and deeper, with roots around nerves and possibly cysts that can cause blood infections.

Holding off on this can just cause MUCH MUCH more injury in the long run.

I just got my wisdom teeth out, I'm 17, and they urged me that if I don't do it now, once they grow in and get impacted, getting them out is more expensive, more painful, with more chances of complications. Complications = more money you cannot afford to waste.

If the pain is that bad already, you may already have a severely impacted tooth. Please, don't wait off any longer. Make it a priority to get your mouth fixed and in proper order. It doesn't hurt. Just get your funds arranged (payment options will be your best deal, mine costed 1700$. discuss with your ortho-surgeon a payment option best for you.) DO NOT go to a doctor simply because it is "cheap." That will cause pain and problems in the end.

Make this a priority for yourself. You're a stay at home mom, you said. You cannot afford to waste money on infections and such. You cannot have intense downtime. Get this taken care of, and take care! Good luck!

  6. Sorry  you are in  pain.  If  it  is  just  the  gum cutting  you can  first  rince  with  salt warm  water  then  apply   the product for  sale on  shelf for theething  kids  use (ambusal).  And  take  Tynol. A  wrm heat  pad  or  cloth on  jaw  may  help pain also,  10 minuents  at  time  only.  Asprin  may  not be good  as  it  thins  blood  and  hurts  stomac.  If it  is  a  problem  more  serious,  such  as  coming  in  sideways  or  under another tooth, check  with  dentists  for  a  payment  plan.

  7. oh i see. i am a teenager and i think i already have my wisdom teeth in. and i am scared to death that i will have to get them taken out. Ehhh i think you may just have to tough it out because aspirin will destroy the lining of your stomach if you haven't eaten anything at all.

you should look for dental insurance, or even the HMO is better than nothing at all. i know it may be expensive but it is definitely worth it

sorry if this didn't help very much. best of luck

  8. wisdom teeth hurt when they come in and they will hurt for awhile and then it will go away and then later maybe a couple weeks or a couple months and it will hurt again.

the best thing to do is to get them removed, but it's very expensive.

the good thing about wisdom teeth is that you don't have to have them taken out right away so you can wait until you get insurance... i've had mine for eight years and am finally getting them taken out next year...

the best thing for wisdom tooth pain that i have found is:

take two or three advil with two tylenol

my pharmacist says that this is okay and it has the same effect as vicodin minus the drowsiness

orajel prolly won't touch the pain so i wouldn't waste your money, but before you take the advil make sure you get something in your stomach... even chicken broth, try to drink thru straws, it will relieve some pain that you would get if you just drank it normally.

i would also gargle with salt water, that always helps for some reason.

i know how very painful it is, so i hope you feel better.

  9. There are plenty of places out there that will do it for free in exchange for your feedback about new pain medications, etc. I would browse around on-line within your city or a nearby larger one to see if you can find one of these clinical studies! I have known people to have good luck with this. Good luck to you!
