My wisdom teeth never came in

Question

a few years ago the dentist was suprised that my wisdom teeth have not came in (didn't show on the x-ray) i was 17.

do you think they can still come in?/

If your wisdom teeth didn't show on the x-ray,  it may be likely that you never developed any,  and that's great !    Not everyone gets all four wisdom teeth,  and some people never get any.   They are usually a problem anyway,   so the less you develop the less you have to worry about.

If they are there,  but hidden,  they can come in at anytime,  some people notice them around age 17 and some people can be as late as 50.

you dont want them to come in, because once they do they will hurt and you will have to take them out.

Maybe your one of the lucky ones, my hubby didnt get his taken out until his 30's I got mine out at 18 all 4 impacted. If its not bothering you dont worry about it. but yes theres still that chance

My mom was missing two wisdom teeth, and the other two never came in. But if they didn't see them on the x-ray, there's a good chance they're not coming. Horray for you!! =]

I have a bunch of relatives who never got their wisdom teeth, or they did when they were older but it didn't bother them!

I would say you are one of those lucky people who are blessed with no wisdom teeth. Taking them out has proven to been one of the worst weeks of my life.

If these didnt show on the x-ray; then they wont show(grow out) at all.

this specifically is called ANODONTIA(no tooth germ at birth)

I had wisdom teeth on my top but not the bottom.
