My wisdom tooth is coming in!?

I'm 22. I can feel one of my top wisdom teeth coming in! Its just a little tender around the gum, but I figure thats normal, but other than that, I don't have any pain. I was just freaking out cuz I've heard of impacted wisdom teeth and how they can crowd your teeth. I went to the dentist about 8 months ago( got xrays) and they didn't say anything about my wisdom theeth.

So How do I know if this tooth is impacted!?

wisdom teeth are tricky lil effers. mine took about two years to erupt. In a couple of days, you may not feel it at all, but go to your dentist to have it checked out. He may want to cut it out or wait for it to erupt on its own. If it erupts and pushes your back molar, it hurts like h**l. and can crack that molar, (it did to me). Had the molar pulled and the wisdom tooth took its place.

Another thing, wisdom teeth always seem to come in AFTER you're off dads awesome insurance. (I was 25 or 26 when it happened to me), had to pay in full, but i got on a reduced payment plan, so it was only 89 bucks.

my advice for you is don't wait like I did. Have it taken care of, the sooner the better. Take care .
