  1. I had my four wisdom teeth taken out a a teaching hospital. It took three dentists almost three hours to get them out.  They would yank and yank for 5 or so minutes and then have to move on to the next dentist because it was such hard work.  I think the first three came out pretty easy but the fourth was nuts.  They said I had wisdom teeth the size of a horse's.  It was disturbing being yanked on like that but not really painful as I was frozen.  I took serious pain killers for two days and was very swollen but recovered over one weekend.  Good luck.

  2. Don't worry. It doesnt hurt bad. If your wisdom teeth have not come in yet it will be a little more painful then if they are in. The worst thing you can do is stress. Just take it easy.

I hope I helped. Good Luck.

  3. Honestly, it really doesn't hurt as long as you keep up with your medications and sleep all day. You just feel really weird after cause of the swelling and not being able to eat anything for a while, and all the blood and yucky stuff afterwards.

Don't worry about it! Think of it as having only to go through this once in your lifetime

  4. I had mine taken out by an oral surgeon who my dentist referred me to, and I was under complete anesthesia and didn't feel a thing during the procedure.  I was really sore and could only eat things like apple sauce and chocolate pudding for 2 or 3 days afterwards, but then everything was back to normal.  The only pain you should feel should be soremess AFTER the extraction, but not during it.  And they will give you pain medication to take home with you to help with the after pain.

  5. Well i'll tell you my whole wisdom teeth removal story:

We had to drive a hour a way to the doctor. They gave me laughing gas, then a IV. Then they injected me with a needle and i was asleep, sorta. The next thing I know i'm in the car on the way home and i threw up and blood was everywhere. It hurt a lot but the pills help.

There is huge wholes in your gums and it gets really annoying everytime you eat cus you gotta clean it out...

But about a month later the wholes go away and your normal again!

So as a overview, First week sucks cus ur in pain and the last three weeks are annoying...

    Thanks,

    Griffin

PS - its not the worst thing in the world

  6. No, don't be scared about it. I had mine removed four days ago and so far, I am doing great. Just make sure that when you go in for the procedure, to request to be put to sleep with general anesthesia. This way will guarantee that you will feel no pain and will not see anything that's going on. Once they inject the IV into your arm (which feels like a normal pinch when you get a shot), you will fall asleep within half a minute. And in what feels like a minute later, you will wake up and everything is done. You won't even know they worked on you. Then just remember to take your medications on a strict schedule and you won't get a chance to feel the pain. If they prescribe you Vicodin, I suggest taking one Vicodin with three Motrins every 4-5 hours. This will keep the pain and swelling away. So, relax. You will be fine =) Good luck.

  7. i just had mine removed two days ago.

it doesnt hurt while theyre doing it. it hurts after and i hate blood and it oozes it was disgusting. for the first day. :[

    now it only hurts.

it isnt that bad they give you pills.

but my jaw hurts and i have a fat face. lol

  8. I had mine out July 17th. I swear its not bad at all.

My appointment was at 9:30 in the morning, and they took me back at 9:35, hooked me up to a couple machines, then put the IV in. Next thing I knew the lady was like "I'm putting the anesthesia in now" and this hole on their wall that I was looking at (I hate seeing needles being put in) started moving around, I got a really warm feeling in my legs, and I was out.

I woke up a little later and that was all.

ITS NOT BAD AT ALL. I SWEAR!

I was talking that day, and I only slept for a half hour!
