The gorilla has sheer strength.

It is also savage.

It weighs 650 lbs, but a big sumo wrestler can hit 400 and some, I think.

The sumo, however, is smarter and more nimble.

Still, the gorilla probably has the advantage.  

The thing, is, a gorilla does not worry about the consequences of losing.  A sumo will.

What an odd thing for a history teacher to mention.

The gorilla, no doubt. (Although gorillas are very shy, they could easily tear up a Sumo) And by tear up, I mean put the hurt on. :)
