My x box 360 is making a loud grinding noise everytime i turn it on?

my x box makes a loud grinding noise and it goes through 4 stages of grinding and after like 5 times i turn it on it stops

what should i do ??

Try again after a few hours of rest.

Also, did you shake it or anything? (You would think not, but honestly, things can get stuck)

Maybe the disc drive is having problems?

Until you know what is going on, do NOT put discs in there, it will likely leave a lovely circular scratch that renders the game useless.
