My xbox 360 headset doesnt work. i get complaints from other players, about noise and i cant talk?

Im getting yelled at online specifically COD4, i guess my headset it making static sounds of some sort. and i cant speak to other players to ask exactly what hte problem is. any ideas???

The headsets that come w/ the 360 break every few months, mine someow lasted four, im on second set now.

So just go buy a new one, its nothing you did
