My xbox 360 isn't making sound?

I went on to play my 360 today and no sound emitted from the tv, I unplugged the cords multiple times which didn't work, turn the 360 on and off multiple time, didn't work, what's the matter with it?

make sure you are putting the cables in the right slot positions.

make sure your tv is off mute.

OMG, I dont think you can get much dumber, this is Yahoo! 360, not Xbox 360 dork. Try putting it in the other catergory.

But since Im here, its gotta be broken, or the cords stoped working, which is possible, try getting a new one, if it still doesnt work, send it in.
