My xbox 360 keeps freezing what shall i do?

my xbox 360 keeps freezing on my games i dont no why it hasnt done this beofre it was fine before i went on holiday then come tried it and turned it on played for about a minute and just keeps freezing on every game ive got.its not over heating because its on a wooden floor with loads of room.

If you haven't got the red lights now, you probably will soon.

My 360 was freezing for about a fortnight before the red ring appeared.

During that time, before the RROD, Xbox support weren't interested, they just kept sending me generic troubleshooting guides.

Is the disc scratched?

Is it overheating?

Are the leads connected properly?

Have you taken it out of the box?

Have you plugged it in?

Are you an idiot?

You know, the usual fault finding stuff.

Saying that, once the red lights appeared, they had it fixed and returned within 13 days.

Call Xbox customer support

Look at the last page of the warranty book you got with the 360. It will have the number for customer support. They will ship a box to your address to put the 360 in.

For the UK the number is 0800-587-1102 (TTY users 0800-587-1103)

Just double check this incase im wrong.

If you're not in warranty anymore you will have to pay around £70 to get it fixed

Mine kept on freezing before the red rind of death come on but I downloaded an ebook and had it fixed within an hour

If it keeps freezing take it out of the freezer.

If your lights are going red you have the very well known "ring of death"

i had it and had to buy a playstation 3 instead. i had it fixed 3 times in a week in the end they gave up.
