since i called, they said they would send me a sticker in the mail that i would have to put on the xbox and then send it back, and then they would have to send me a 400$ gift card to best buy so i can go and get my new xbox, with the length it has taken for the sticker to get to me, im gonna have to wait like 3 months, is this normal?

  1. i have never heard of microsoft giving out gift cards to best buy. i would say to call them again 1800-4MY-XBOX, and tell them to email you the shipping label. print out the shipping label, put your xbox 360 in an empty cardboard box, tape the label on, give it to the UPS man, and enjoy 15 days of no xbox 360 instead of 3 months

hope this helps and gets best answer

  2. When my Xbox gave me the red ring of death, it was also under warranty. But they didn't send me a gift card, I was sent a box and label to ship it in to Microsoft for repair. It only took a week to ship from my house to Microsoft and back. They should have given you a reference number you should call 1-800-4my-xbox to see what the delay is. Chances are it was lost in the mail.

  3. I've NEVER heard of that warranty, but for that you could buy an Elite (if you didn't have one already) Consider yourself very lucky.

  4. Uhh, actually that sounds very unusual. When I had the RROD twice, both times they sent me a box within a week and I sent my xbox in to get fixed for free (still under warranty). The whole process usually took 2 weeks. I've never heard of getting a $400 gift card to best buy to buy a new one.  I think you were scammed bro unless they started dishing out gift cards to best buy for RROD infected xbox's.

    Good luck
