My xbox connection keeps failing.?

My xbox live connection keeps failing and I think it is because my ethernet cable is too long, is there something I can get to boost the connection or is using a shorter wire my only choice?

the best thing is to burn it. then go outside and exercise for once, fatty.

No the size of the ethernet cable does not matter. It depends on which part is failing. If it is the DNS then it needs to be connected to a computer. that was my problem.

the distance of the cable isnt the issue.  Its either the cable itself or your connection.  try resetting the modem and router.  if that doesnt work then its the modem and/or router.  also try another cat5 cable (standard network cable)
