My yahoo group is moderated since spammers kept posting to my group, yet, somehow they can post to calendar??

Somehow, spam gets posted in my group calendar w/o my persmission and then get sent to my entire group every day. I see this all over yahoo groups. Is there a way to totally remove the calendar from the group, not just delete the events, but the entire calendar? I have to clear the entire calendar every day to keep these spam posts off my group, please help.

First of all go to your group and edit the calendar and delete all their posted dates all together, then go edit the calendar under Management / Web Tools and check the block where it takes the calendar away the members completely.

You can turn off the Calendar for your group. This means that no one can access the Calendar feature of your group.

Here's how:

1. Click the "Management" link at the left side of the page.

2. Under Group Settings, click the "Web Tools" link.

3. Then click the "Edit" link next to Web tools.

4. Under Calendar, click the radio button beside the "Off (no one can access the Calendar feature) ".

5. Don't forget to click the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the  Page.

Try putting the whole group on moderation for a while. Edit, I see from other posts that won't work, sorry.

group moderation doesn't apply to the groups web features like calendar, files and links- I'd check all those places.

management- under group settings click web tools- web tools (edit) <--click the edit- scroll the tools and select moderator for any or all- click save changes
