Q. #2 Each time I'm on Yahoo. a box appears saying "You are about to close 2 tabs. Are you sure you want to continue? and then my yahoo closes.

Are these 2 problems in my yahoo or my windows setup.

Please direct me how to correct these two problems.

  1. #1 you are clicking on a shortcut to Yahoo which obviously doesn't go where you want to go. When you are successful in getting Yahoo open, right click on an open area and click on 'create shortcut' this will put a new Yahoo icon on your desktop and then right click on the old troublesome icon and 'delete'

#2 You are obviously opening Yahoo in either Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox as your browser. Both provide 'tabbed browsing' with different open pages showing at the top of the page, just below the toolbars, as "Tabs" listing the name of the sites and allowing you to jump back and forth between them by simply clicking their tab. The box you refer to only appears after you click the 'close X' in your top right corner. This now closes all open sites and the message might say 'you are about to close 6 tabs' if you had that many open. If you only want to close Yahoo, RIGHT click on the Yahoo tab and select 'close tab'.the other open site (probably your home page) will remain open. If you want to shut down your internet browsing, just click the big red X.
