  1. Yahoo's been busy creating what they see as a new & improved home page for Y users.  They love it, the users (for the most part) do not.

The new yahoo that is your old yahoo has a .cm in the url rather than the .my.yahoo  like it did in the old version.

Basically when you log in now, you're getting a generic Y page with none of your Y stuff on it, is that correct?

If you log in to your mail, you'll then get an option to see your NEW Y page which is a souped up version of your old one and all your stuff will be there but you'll have an addition of a VERY intrusive ad that is also rather HUGE and furthermore, since it is a ROTATING ad, it keeps changing which slows everything else on your page way down, sigh!

SUPPOSEDLY, you're offered a way to switch back to the old, classic Yahoo which will contain all the comfy style and imp. stuff that you've created previously but unfortunately you kinda have to get back to it in a workaround way.

If you log into your mail page and the log in goes through you'll be at the equivilant of your "mail's homepage"...well, the trick is to make THAT page your Y homepage. So make sure you checked "remember me for two weeks".

Now that you've made your Y MAIL page as your homepage, each time you log into get or send Y mail, you can then click "Home" and it will take you back to your old faithful Y homepage :-D

Yeah it takes a little longer but at least you get the darn thing to come back with all your cool stuff the way YOU like it, not the cool way Y thinks you SHOULD like it.

Don't pay any mind to those that tell you to use the "make Y your homepage option" - or those that say: insert .my.yahoo.com

None of those options work other than to get you to the generic Y page.

Do the mail log-in trick I posted above and it works everytime...or at least 'til Y gets wise to our ways and figures out another workaround to our workarounds to get what we REALLY want instead of what Y REALLY wants us to want!
