My yahoo page?

Question

I have a toggle search on my yahoo page that covers most of my page with a see through square. In the square , I can not click on anything. I can't read news headlines or check the weather without going to a different web address all together.

How can I fix this? I sent an email to yahoo with no response. Can anyone help?

Ensure you have the latest version of Java installed, http://www.java.com

Yahoo! is optimized for Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2.  If you've haven't updated your browser  click here to go to Yahoo! Downloads:  http://downloads.yahoo.com/

Usually the boxes that drop down or float on the screen have an "x" at top left or a "close" link.  

The popup blocker, when enabled, will not always stop these but you can increase the level if you want to try: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using...   If you go ahead and set it on high you can use the CTRL key to bypass on demand.
