  1. centiped or burmuda love full sun and do well in hot weather. You can get both types in seed or sod. Once growing good, use a preimmergence to keep weeds from germinating. Centipede is a lazy mans grass because it doesn't grow fast. Burmuda is what is on a lot of golf courses. It can be cut 1/4 inch to 2 inches tall and makes a beautiful lawn but can look crappy if weeds get in it.

  2. Roses love the sun, there are lots of plants that will grow in full sun.

What kind of plants are you looking for?

  3. You should try some golden carpet. It is very drought resistant and also survives very cold temps. I live in zone 5A and have seen this plant growing in Jan under the snow.

The leaves look like yellow stars.

    The leaves look like rubber.

This flowers in the colder temps, and goes green in the summer heat.

I have this plant. It's a ground cover.

Another plant that is very drought resistant is sedum Live Long. It is a herb and produces flowers that look like Pink Brocolie. It dies back in the winter. In the spring remove dead branches. It gets more full every year. Scroll down the page to see photo.
