She eats a lot and wants more. She always wants to know when and what we're eating. She will create a game to find out about when and what we're having. I am very concerned. She says that there is nothing bothering her. I'm lost for an answer.

  1. You don't give her age so I really can't say.  It could be that she is entering puberty.  It could be how food was presented to her as a small child, like when she was sad was she given food to make her feel better?  She could be about to hit a growth spurt, sometimes kids go through all the food in the house in a matter of days.  It could be that she has a very high metabolism and is not getting enough calories for her metabolism.

  2. i went throught that but i grew out of it i guess it was like a stage it lasted like three months. beware now she's eating next she'l b dieting it normal as long as it doesnt go overboard

  3. She's insecure, depressed.

Get her some help, she needs to increase her self esteem.

  4. Maybe she's fulfilling some type of emotional need with the food?  If she's a young kid, she's not going to even begin to know how to explain that to you since she probably doesn't even recognize that's what she's doing.  Just be sure to have lots of healthy food around so that she's eating well and not a bunch of junk.

My 8 year old daughter, who normally doesn't eat everything on her plate has suddenly in the past two weeks or so begun eating everything and seconds!  I'm assuming she's getting ready for a growth spurt, but on the other hand, my son's anxiety has gotten worse and is affecting the whole family, so I have to keep an eye on her to make sure she's not using food as a way to cope with her brother.

ARGH!!!! let's all tear our hair out.  We just wanna do what's right for our kids! LOL

  5. Maybe she's going through a growth spurt.  You didn't mention how old she is.  If she's young she may just really like food right now.  Make sure she's eating plenty of fruits and veggies, let her fill up on these so she's not trying to eat junk and have her drink plenty of water.  As long as she's normal weight and not gaining or losing suddenly don't worry.
