My younger sibling got a mean teacher?

My younger sibling (cousin live with my aunty and uncle so I consider my cousins like brothers and sisters) is going to 1st grade and we just found out their teacher isn't the nicest. I remember that before I was in the class across from hers and she used to yell at us in our classroom. Everytime I got punished in my class I looked out the door and realized how lucky I was to be in this class. So I wondering how to help my sibling deal with this. Obviously its difficult because their only like in 1st grade. If you think I am bluffin bout the teacher trust me- SHES A REAL....

"My younger sibling got a mean teacher" is a statement, not a question. OK, your cousin got a mean teacher, what do you want us to do about it?

If your cousin is well behaved it shouldn't be too bad.  As long as the teacher  is consistent in her rules and expectations your cousin should be able to figure out how to stay out of trouble.  Some very strict teachers get a lot of teaching in (they don't have to spend a lot of time on behaviour after the first month or so) so your cousin may learn a lot.  

Approach the teacher with an open mind and give it a chance to see how well she and your cousin mesh together.
