My little girl zebra finch is looking really sick. She doesn't have energy, she's breathing with a clicking noise, and she is poofed out and won't move. Her eyes are swelling shut and I feel so bad for her. She is so sweet and I don't know what to do for her. Help! What do I do?? She is probably going to die soon :'[

  1. I had 30 zebra finches I think you should takeher to the vet, or she wont make it

  2. Go to the vet!

  3. Umm have you heard of a aviary vet?  Check your local yellow pages and get bird there quick as birds usually hide their sickness until they are at deaths door.  You don't have long to act if bird looks that bad.  If you cannot get her to a vet right now (as it  is 12 pm where I am) put her cage on a heating pad turned on high(the heat will radiate up into cage) and make her more comfortable.  Offer her special treats to try to get her to eat. I sometimes mix a couple drops of honey with my birds seed when  I think she is feeling droopy.  Honey is a natural antibacterial/antimicrobial substance.

  4. if you were as bad off as she is you would bein the ER.

    AVIAN VET NOW.

  5. She probably has mites and that is why she is having a hard time breathing. I used to have a lot of zebras and other finches but don't anymore so if you join the group Zebra Finch (garry landry's yahoo group) someone can help you faster than I can.

    Good Luck!
