My zebra finches don't go in their nest. Is this normal? they sleep on top of it.?

The nest is only used to incubate eggs.  Birds don't actually live in the nest.

what kind of nest is it?Zebra finches fav. nest is a bamboo wicker nest(get at pet store).is it a new pair?Ifit is they are probly not use to it.you can also put tissue or toilet paper shredded on botton of the cage,and they might pick it up and put it in the nest.
