My zune wont read on my computer?

my zune has the new update on someone elses computer. but i just downloaded the zune sofware to my computer but when i plug it in it says there isnt one hooked up

Try a different USB port. One on the back of your PC. If that don't fix it. Open the Zune software and go to Settings in the upper right corner, click general tab and than check for updates. You will want to run Windows Update as well.
