Question:

Myanmar monks protesting in Burma! Morris dancers in UK?

So we have the monks in Burma demonstrating against the military rule with their chants and peaceful protests. It got me thinking for all the "good" the voice of the UK population does when we don't agree with a government issue, let the Houses of Parliament be beseiged by a marauding swarm of Morris Dancers, who are the stalwarts of British history and tradition.

Let them let rip with their jingly bell sticks and a "hey nonny ney" and see the politicians quake in their boots

Views anyone?

    Minxy.

  2. after next weeks torys annual bash cameron will be leading them.

  3. When the common people become too divided into partisan groups or too  apathetic, military juntas and thugs  fill the void and take over and  you have a situation where it takes a shooting revolution to get rid of them.

The common folk need to unite into a non-partisan umbrella group to ensure the power remains with THEM. Then they can argue about conservative vs liberal policies; capitalist vs socialist values etc.

  4. Monks are the only 'institution', besides the military, that can command total respect in a Buddhist country. There is no real equivalent in Western society anymore, since the clergy definitely have been shown to be very human indeed.

That being so, your idea is really funny! Are they available for foreign protests?

  5. Come back Guy Fawkes all is forgiven

  6. Please see this video to know about Myanmar culture.

  8. I am annoyed that the voice of the people is lost.

I sent five letters to my MP - Julian Brazier before he would reply.  I asked what the UK is going to do about the continued Torture, murder and rape of innocent Tibetans at the hands of the Communist Regime of China.

The reply was "wait until the regime is over"!

Yet the UK government is quick to interfer in places like Iraq.

    Raaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
