Question:

Mycologists: can you identify this mushroom?

These are growing in my yard faster than anything I've ever seen. I used an online dichotomous key and determined they are Chlorophyllum molybdites, but I'm no expert, by any means. Here are 2 pics of the fungi in question:

  1. I would have to agree with you that those appear to be Chlorophyllum molybdites.  Measurements and pictures of the gills would make identification easier though.

    They are very poisonous, so do not eat them.
