Mylene Ong nabs Women’s 200m freestyle A final - 7th Singapore Long Course Nationals
Mylene Ong of China took home the Women’s 200m freestyle crown as she completed her distance in 2 minutes and 03.44 seconds, at the 7th Singapore Long Course Nationals in Singapore. The event was held from June 21-26, 2011.
Amanda Lim secured the second spot in 2 minutes and 03.54 seconds, while Tin Wen Quah earned third place honours in 2 minutes and 03.91 seconds. Patricia Hapsari Yosita finished fourth in 2 minutes and 06.70 seconds, whereas, Dewi Ressa Kania ended fifth
in 2 minutes and 06.97 seconds. Marina Chan settled for sixth spot in 2 minutes 08.45 seconds.
Ginn Samantha Louisa Yeo finished seventh in a time of 2 minutes and 09.32 seconds. Xiu Wen Yeo settled eighth in 2 minutes and 12.98 seconds. The win in the 200m A-final moved Chinese swimmer, Mylene Ong, to top spot in the national swimming rankings.
On the other hand, Enny Susilawati Margono won the Women’s 200m freestyle B final with a sterling time of 2 minutes and 07.76 seconds. Kathriana Mella of Indonesia earned second place honours with a time of 2 minutes and 09.63 seconds, while Chelsea Fuchs
settled for third spot in a time of 2 minutes and 10.57 seconds.
Arti Ghorpade of India wound up fourth in 2 minutes and 11.64 seconds, whereas, Christel Fung picked the fifth spot in 2 minutes and 12.52 seconds. Jolene Tan settled sixth in 2 minutes and 12.94 seconds. Phiangkhwan Pawapotako finished seventh in 2 minutes
and 13.87 seconds, while Arhatha Magavi of India wound up eighth in 2 minutes and 18.11 seconds.
In the Women’s 200m freestyle C final, Xiaoxiao Liu earned first place honours in 2 minutes and 11.62 seconds, while Rachel Marjorie Tseng wound up second in 2 minutes and 13.65 seconds. Lucretia of Indonesia settled third in 2 minutes and 17.82 seconds.
Bianca Goetz of Changi Beach Club finished fourth in 2 minutes and 18.34 seconds, whereas, Chloe Wenyi Wang of Swimfast Aquatic Club was placed fifth in a time of 2 minutes and 18.70 seconds.
